The CybertronPC Vortex PC

Hi, I'm not going to lie to you, I know squat about PC's. But I must commend you on such a great site. I found you by searching on google for some ideas on either buying or building a gaming pc. I have checked out TigerDirect.com and notice they do some pre built pc's such as this one:

Now I could really do with your help as although money isn't too much of an issue I don't want to waste money unnecessarily on things like really kick ass motherboards that do more things than I'll ever use them for. Basically what I want is a gaming pc to play games such as Empire total war and Dawn of war 2 and other similar games.

I want to be able to connect it and play it through my samsung tv. Can you recommend me a good pre built pc or recommend me a good combination of parts to build one. I'm no stranger to building them, I did it years ago as work experience though I remember little of it. I'm a heating engineer myself so I'm always ripping out and changing boiler motherboards.

Hey there Anthony. Well you have two choices, either buy a pre-built gaming system such as the CybertronPC Vortex Gaming System that you have mentioned, or you could buy all the parts seperately and build a PC from scratch as this site explains to do. But the choice is really up to you.

If you're not looking for the absolute high-end type of gaming machine, and just want a middle-range system capable of playing games at decent quality, then I would not hesitate to buy a pre-built system such as the CybertronPC Vortex.

That particular PC is a great choice, and quite decent value for money actually. It holds enough power for most people these days, and it has plenty of room in its case for upgrades in the near future. You will also be able to play it on your TV too, as the video card that the PC comes with has all the connections you need.

Check out the customer reviews on the system, you will find that there are a lot of positive comments about it.

On the other hand, if you want to build a custom system yourself then go right ahead. You might be able to save a bit of money, but it may not be much as those middle range type of pre-built PCs are usually good value anyway. This would change though if you were building a high-end PC, in this case we would highly recommend you to build your own.

As for picking parts, that's for you to decide on. Check our our buying guides such as choosing the best motherboard, or selecting the best cpu, to help you out.
