I bought a decked out Dell XPS 400 a few years back, but now I need a new machine, so this is what I am planning on getting. Let me know what you think, or god forbid if anything doesn't go together people tell me! I'm new at this but I wanna give it a go:

Power Supply:

PC Power & Cooling Silencer PPCS910 910W ATX12V 2.2 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready

Price tag = $1,776.91

The RAM has a side note saying that it is a perfect match with an intel cpu and I dont think it's a problem to use an AMD but if you know for sure please tell me if this is all ok.

Hey there Joe that looks like a very decent gaming machine to me. You will have a lot of power with that setup. A friend of mine has 4GB of Corsair Dominator RAM and that is very, very fast for him...so I can't imagine how fast 8GB is going to be!

About that particular RAM being compatible with an AMD CPU...I think it should be fine but I wouldn't know for sure 100%. I guess it's best if you find out for sure though before proceeding. I searched around for some info on this but couldn't find anything. Hopefully someone else on here can clear this up for Joe?

Superb.

Wow. I hope this works out for you. :)

Although I suggest you get a HDD with 7200rpm if you want to access files or install games quickly. ;)
